Is the womans place really in the home?

Topic Image

In a non discriminatory environment, woman should have equal rights to men. The question is whether society benefits from changing from the hunter / gatherer nature that is within men and women? The family unit has changed because both parents are often at work and perhaps this has contributed to social problems within the household. The main reason for women needing to work is economic, but has this been twisted into a disciminatory issue as the reason why women should work? Should we be changing policy to provide encouragment for women to stay at home with the children?
