Planet-wide resource management scheme
A legacy of our tribal ancestoral development is that we remain territorial and whatever resourses in our territory our ours to do with as we see fit. However, with the advent of climate change, such an irresponsible attitude has global implications that can no longer continue in the same direction. Should the UN develop a comprehensive plan to manage the global resourses of the planet in a sustainable way, such as defining areas that should be reforrested and area available for different size urbanisation, fishing quotas etc., as well as minimum standards of infrastructure and environmentally safe materials to be used? Such a plan would override any so called sovereign rigths held by individuals and countries.
