The lies about Climate Change
Firstly, regardless of how much influence humans have actually had in the naturally changing climate cycle..and yes the climate is always changing, our attempts to reduce or reverse humans effects are noble, but naive. Individuals are led to believe that turning off a light, driving less or reusing a plastic bag makes a difference, however small. Sure, en-masse the little things do result in less energy being used, but does it result in less energy being generated, or is it a false metric hidden in the GROWING reliance we have on energy sources? Let's look at the basics: Since the moment that climate change began being taken seriously, the number of petrol cars on global roads has increased by millions, the number of fossil fuel power stations has grown and the number of commercial airplanes has increased. Deforestation has continued unabated and the insatiable need for energy increases annually, which is reflected in the supply shortage of oil and the need for additional power stations, plus the huge number of new super massive aircraft such as the A380 on offer. The PROBLEM in reality is not being resolved but actually continues to grow. The 'lies' are that despite our elected representatives promoting ideas such as carbon trading schemes (which only shift the problem around and not reduce it), businesses promoting themselves as 'carbon neutral' (yet they still have many products in their offices such as furniture, computers, carpets etc. produced bt fossil fuels, as is the production of their company cars etc. Let's not forget their staff usually come to work by petrol cars or electic trains), as well as expensive green energy solutions (which is of questionable REAL green value due to the fact they indirectly pollute), we are still INCREASING our output. Certain countries, companies and individuals are growing richer through our collective naivity by promoting and exploiting these fears and not even making a significant difference. By listening to the 'experts' and the politicians, we really are sticking our heads in the sand to think the problem is under control. Do you agree that this is essentially the reality and if so, what are we prepared to do to ensure that we can REVERSE our damage and resolve future issues, without being exploited for commercial gains?
