Global language

Topic Image

some languages richer than others, whilst some reek of romance and love. Others are steeped in spitiual and religious depths, but no matter what language you speeek and prefer, we all suffer the same problem of not only a lack of communication, but a lack of understanding of culture that some languages simply can't portray through translation. There have been attempts to move towards a global language in the past, but all have failed. Partly because of self interest, partly because the more common languages are not necessarily the richest. In any case, in the modern shrinking world, has the time come to choose a single language (or develop a new one) that all school children will be taught? Would this language be their first, second or only language to be taught for our global village?
